PRAY FOR US
PRAY FOR US
Luke 22:31-32
Every mother is expected to have a tool. The simplest, most common, effective and easy to carry. A tool that there is no need for training to use, no academic qualification is required, can be used anywhere, anytime and anyhow. Infact, it is not regulated by time, law or believe, it can only be structured by them.
You do not need to be a pastor’s wife before you can use this tool effectively, you don’t need to be a deacon or Deaconess, you don’t need to be in the prayer warrior department to be effective in using it. You do not even need to run to a church, mountain top or anywhere before it could be used. And this tool is *prayer* (the tool of every mother).
My definition of *Mother* is who is awake to the upbringing and up keeping of the home when others are sleeping. It’s one thing to give birth, and it’s another thing to be responsible in upbringing.
According to *Ruth Billigram*, pray when you feel like it, for it is a sin to neglect such opportunity. Pray when you don’t feel like it, for it is dangerous to remain in that condition.
In Luke 22:32, Jesus said, Peter, *’I have prayed for you,’* because the future of the gospel rest on him. It’s more like him saying “I see the future in you.”
Likewise you, you are who you are because someone prayed for you.
Now, the question is who prayed for Peter? It’s Jesus Christ (the way).
If every mother knows the way, stay on the way and believe the way, all their prayers would result into testimonies.
In Luke19, Zacchaeus saw Jesus because he knew the way Christ would pass. As a result of knowing the way, Christ;
*Saw him
*Called him to come down
*Dined with him
*and declared that today salvation enters his house.
Therefore, if you pray, knowing the way, Jesus will see you, call you, dine with you and salvation will enter and dwell in your house.
Therefore mothers, know the way in prayers. Stay on the way in prayer. Believe the way in prayers. *Anything done out of the way is a waste*
Col 3:17 says *”And whatever you do whether in words or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus,…”*
Genesis 21:15-19, Hagar had lived with Abraham for years, and also know that he is a man of prayer. But when she was faced with dilemma, instead of her to pray, she started crying and gave up hope on the child. This shows clearly that Haggai does not know and have the way. Same as most mothers, they don’t know the way and have not the way (Jesus)
Therefore, make prayer your lifestyle -Mat 6:5-7. Looking at those verses, Jesus said “when” and not ‘if’, and this shows that prayer is not conditional. It is a living. Do not pray only when you are in a situation, but pray because you are a living soul.
Paul and Silas prayed in their situation and God got them out of it. Every prayer today is to get out of the situation, and not to acknowledge God in the situation.
Go mothers and use your tool!
In Act 9:36-43, there was a disciple in Joppa named Tabitha, translated Dorcas, who became sick and died.
They sent for Peter, and when he got there, everyone was weeping, recounting to him how good Dorcas was. But Peter said that is not the answer. So he sent then out of the room, got down on his knees and prayed. Then he turned to the dead woman and said, “Tabitha, get up! And she opened her eyes and sit up.
That miracle happened because Christ prayed for him.
This is not the time to sleep, form spirituality or pretend. Do not give the devil a room to get hold of your children.
When you do not like how things are going, go down on your knees and pray. When you are not pleased with what is going on in you life, home, business etc, go down on your knees and pray.
Pray for us. We are the church, nation and future.
