HMER, DR OTIS Olorunsola JP Visits Hon. Prince Gold

On Monday 6th May, 2024, the General Overseer of Living Christ Gospel Church, Nig & Oversees, His Most Excellent Reverend, Dr OTIS Olorunsola (JP) Visits the Hon. Commissioner for Youth Development Ekiti State, Hon Prince Adesola Adedayo Gold on a courtesy and prayer visit as part of his mandate for this season (praying and supporting the government)


Indeed, Ekiti State is blessed. The God fearing commissioner met with the team at exact 2:38pm and appreciated the church of God for her continued support as exemplified by the visit.

His Most Excellent Reverend highlighted the pillars of the visit to be:

  1. Familiarization 
  2. Synergy between the ministry of youth development and the church and by extension, the OAIC Bloc the church belongs
  3. Invitation to Ekiti Sunday service on 12th May, 2024
  4. And finally,to pray with the commissioner.

In his response, Hon Gold was elated to receive the Living Christ team and highlighted once again the commitment of the BAO led administration in the state to youth emancipation and development, stating in clear terms that about 70% of Ekiti people are youths; hence the need for his office to be at its best to channel properly the innate ability of the common youth in Ekiti.

He opined that Ekiti and by extension the country has a very brighter future with the number of youths available and the potentials they carry.

He seized the opportunity to appreciate God that has brought him to office and highlighted some of the programs currently running for the benefit of the Ekiti youths both indigene and sojourners.

  1. ITF  training program for Ekiti youth Artisans, a program of the PBAT led federal government, with a global certification for all beneficiaries. He noted that Ikole axis just finished their and that a new batch would commence shortly.
  2. Agric programs currently running where youths can go into farming with the government giving necessary and adequate support to such youths
  3. Data collection of youths expecially youths in Agriculture, youths in Technology etc to bridge the lacuna between the unemployed, the underemployed and the employed among many other programs that are currently running.

On a final note, he advised that all youth organizations in the state should endeavour to visit his office anytime to register their organization so as to properly benefit from the dividends of democracy that belongs to them all stating clearly that his office is open to anyone at any time.
