INAUGURAL ADDRESS BY PRESIDENT BOLA AHMED TINUBU 29 MAY 2023

Image
THE NIGERIAN IDEAL My Fellow Citizens, I stand before you honoured to assume the sacred mandate you have given me. My love for this nation is abiding. My confidence in its people, unwavering. And my faith in God Almighty, absolute. I know that His hand shall provide the needed moral strength and clarity of purpose in those instances when we seem to have reached the limits of our human capacity. This day is bold and majestic yet bright and full of spirit, as is our precious nation. As a nation, we have long ago decided to march beyond the dimness of night into the open day of renewed national hope. The question we now ask ourselves is whether to remain faithful to the work inherent in building a better society or retreat into the shadows of our unmet potential. For me, there is but one answer. We are too great a nation and too grounded as a people to rob ourselves of our finest destiny. This nation’s journey has been shaped by the prayers of millions, and the collective sacr...

Farewell Speech by His Excellency President Muhammadu Buhari

Image
My fellow Nigerian brothers, sisters and friends of Nigeria.  2. I address you today, in my last assignment as a democratically elected President of our great and well-endowed nation, with a deep sense of gratitude to God, a great deal of appreciation to the Nigerian people and a modest sense of fulfilment.  3. Today we mark and celebrate another peaceful transition of power from one elected government to another in our steady march to improve and sustain Nigeria’s democracy.  4. This year we witnessed the most keenly contested Presidential Elections since the first Republic and this demonstrates that our democracy is getting better and more entrenched with each election.  5. We must as a nation improve and sustain gains we make in the electoral process, on an incremental basis for Nigeria to take its rightful place among Nations.  6. Our democracy provides for, allows and encourages seeking redress for perceived injustices, enabling some candidates ...

WHY DO WE NEED TO OBEY? It makes God supreme It Makes us a lover of God It makes us a Christian i.e. a follower of Christ On the other hand, the opposite of obedience is disobedience. Being disobedient to the Lord is a greater sin than the sin of Wi...

Today's Living Scripture : “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?” Isaiah 43:18–19, NIV According to today's scripture, God says that if you’re dwelling on the past, you won’t see the new thing. If you’re focused on who hurt you and what wasn’t fair, you’ll miss your destiny. Living in regrets for former things will keep you from new opportunities. Reliving your mistakes will stop the new favor from springing up. If you’re looking back at the old, you won’t see the new. What’s behind you is not nearly as important as what’s in front of you. Where you’re going is what matters, not where you’ve been. Is there something you need to forget, so you can see the new thing? Say Father, by the help of the Holy Ghost, I forget my sorrows and troubles. This new month is my month of all round laughter,Joy and jubilation in Jesus name . "There’s a big windshield in front of you and a very small rearv...

Today's Living Scripture “The second most important commandment says: ‘Love others as much as you love yourself.’” Mark 12:31, CEV The most important relationship you have is the relationship with yourself. Too many people don’t like who they are. They focus on their faults, weaknesses, mistakes, and failures. They wish they were taller, had a better personality, and looked like their cousin instead of accepting themselves as a masterpiece, made in the image of God. You can’t love others if you don’t first love yourself. The best thing you can do for your family and friends is to be good to you, be kind to you, be merciful to you, be forgiving to you, be loving to you. Say Father, thank you for been good to and my family. Favour me with your goodness today in Jesus name . "You cannot be better to others than being better to your self." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS .

Today's Living Scripture: “But I, with shouts of grateful praise, will sacrifice to you. What I have vowed I will make good. I will say, ‘Salvation comes from the LORD.’” Jonah 2:9, NIV In today’s Scripture, the prophet Jonah tried to run away from God and ended up getting swallowed by a great fish. It was dark and smelly, no way out in the natural. He had plenty to complain about, but instead he was thanking God that he was still alive. He wasn’t delivered, but at least he was spared. As he thanked God for the partial victory, God went to work and had that fish spit him up on dry ground. It’s easy to complain about what’s not working out. Complaining will only get you stuck. If you want God to turn it around, do as Jonah did and find some good things to thank Him for. Say Father, I will never be ungrateful to you Lord, For all you have done for me in Jesus name. "If you keep celebrating partial victories, God is going to finish what He started." 👏Good Morning🤝 ©...

Today's Living Scripture : Catch all the foxes, those little foxes, before they ruin the vineyard… Song of Solomon 2:15, NLT God wants us to be people of integrity. A person of honor is open and honest and true to her word. He says what he means and means what he says. She doesn’t have any hidden agendas or ulterior motives. He doesn’t need a legal contract to force him to fulfill his word. People of integrity are the same in private as they are in public. They do what’s right whether anybody is watching or not. God’s blessings will overtake you if you settle for nothing less than living with integrity. There’s no limit to what God will do in your life when He knows He can trust you. Say Father, nothing will stop me from being a joyful man today in Jesus name . "Integrity is the foundation on which truly successful relationships are built." 👏Good Morning and Happy Sunday🤝 © MOST OTIS

Today's Living Scripture David asked the men standing near him, “Who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?” 1 Samuel 17:26, NIV . When David went out to face Goliath, his brothers made fun of him, his father didn’t think he had what it takes, and King Saul said he was too young and inexperienced. No one believed in him, but he didn’t go out to prove to them who he was. It wasn’t about proving; it was about fulfilling his purpose. His motives were to advance the kingdom. He wasn’t doing it for people’s applause, for fame, for influence, for a position. It was about honoring God. When you have the right motives in life, God will take your slingshot and cause you to defeat a giant. He’ll open doors you couldn’t open. Say Father, open doors of favour for me today in Jesus name . "When the motive is godly, success is guaranteed." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS

Today's Living Scripture : I stood up and said to the nobles, the officials and the rest of the people, “Don’t be afraid of them. Remember the Lord, who is great and awesome, and fight for your families, your sons and your daughters, your wives and your homes.” Nehemiah 4:14, NIV . Nehemiah was the cupbearer to the king of Persia before he took up the cause of rebuilding the broken down walls of Jerusalem. He didn’t have wealth, experience, or resources, and when he got to Jerusalem, he faced all kinds of opposition. It was one thing after another. But when you’re cause-driven, when you have a mission, and you stay focused on it, the greatness God put on you is going to come out as it did in Nehemiah. Rather than take years to finish rebuilding the walls, he inspired the people to do it in just fifty-two days. Say Father fill my life with the WILL-POWER to drive my vision to accomplishment and surround me with supportive men in Jesus name . "Live for something bigger than yo...

Today's  Living Scripture Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will grant you his blessing. 1 Peter 3:9, NLT You don’t have to respond to the negative comments and people who don’t like or understand you. Keep your heart pure and don’t try to repay them. Be good to those who aren’t good to you. Overlook what they say or do. The sooner you quit giving the negative your time and attention, the better off you’re going to be. You have the grace to rise above it, the grace to ignore it, the grace to not let it bother you. Step into that grace and move forward to greater blessing. Say Father, that special blessing in today is mine in Jesus name. "Spiritual Maturity is when you are able to handle the negative that comes with the blessing." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS .

Today's Living Scripture: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it all for good. He brought me to this position so I could save the lives of many people.” Genesis 50:20, NLT For thirteen years it seemed as though Joseph’s life would end in a deep deficit. Despite all these unfair things, and all the odds against him, Joseph suddenly went from prisoner to the prime minister of Egypt in a single day. God gave Joseph a payback and used it all to work out His plan for Joseph’s life.  *Say Father, do something unusual and something extraordinary in my life today in Jesus name.* "Nothing can stop God than your unbelief." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS .

Whoever has no rule over his own spirit is like a city broken down, without walls. Proverbs 25:28, NKJV If you don’t keep the walls up around your spirit, if you don’t rule your spirit, everything is going to get in. Now keep your walls up. Quit allowing all negativities into your spirit. Your life is too valuable to let everything in. Be selective. If it’s not positive, hopeful, and of a good report, don’t dwell on it. You can’t control the whole world, but you can control your atmosphere. Say Father, I refuse to allow my circumstances or what others say and do to get me upset today in Jesus name. "When your Spirit is corrupted, then your being is altered." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS

God heard the boy crying… Genesis 21:17, NIV God was showing us that He knows how to bring greatness out of a great mess. You may have had a rough start, the odds have been against you, but God is watching over you. He knows what you didn’t get. He knows who wasn’t in your life. He knows the pain, the betrayal, and the hurt. Call out to Him. He has a plan to make more out of your life than you ever imagined. Say Father, hear my cry for help today in Jesus name "Your background does not determine your fore-ground." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS

Another of God's message for His church as delivered by Revd. Spt. A.S. Ipinlaye. Topic : Always trust God Bible text : Proverb 3:1-9 Put not your trust in anyone or anything aside from God, this year is another opportunity to trust God with his words, man can let you down, Government can fail us, friend can let us down and family can betray us but only the love of Christ can sustain us. He's the only one that can do all things abundantly and exceedingly. Psalm 118:8-9, psalm 146:3-4, prov 5:7. Do not rely on prophet or prophetess but build your personal relationship with God, do not forget the teachings with commandments of God, stop living and behaving like a baby Christian, stagnant Christian or  a puffing Christian. You can not do anything without Christ. As you start this year, honor God with all your substance, our inability to trust him is the reason we sow sparingly, ROM 12:1. Our God does not put his own people to shame, he reward effort and sacrifice accordingly.  Re...

And because of his glory and excellence, he has given us great and precious promises. These are the promises that enable you to share his divine nature and escape the world’s corruption caused by human desires. 2 Peter 1:4, NLT Today’s Scripture says that God has enabled us to share His nature, that we are His offspring. As a child of Almighty God, you have His spiritual DNA. In your seed is favor, creativity, courage, and new levels. You can’t share in God’s DNA and just be average. That seed will override challenges and propel you where you can’t go on your own. Say Father, bring out a testimony from all my dysfunctions in Jesus name. "Mistakes - Never allow it to kill you but allow it to change and make a better person out of you." 👏Good Morning and Happy Sunday🤝 © MOST OTIS

Today's Living Scripture God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it. 1 Corinthians 10:13, (ESV) When you feel as though the pressure is too much, it’s because you’re stronger than you think. You’ll never discover how strong you really are until you face pressure that you’ve never faced. It may seem unbearable, but the fact that God allowed it means you can handle it. He didn’t say He’d make a way of escape so you could run from it, but so you can “endure it.” God wouldn’t allow you to get in that pressure if He hadn’t designed you to handle it. You will always be able to bear whatever comes your way. Say Father, thank you for the pressures, temptations and difficulties. Thanks you Lord for giving me the enablement to triumph over them all in Jesus name . "Pressures are not by design to Mar you but to make you." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS. ...

Today's Living Scripture “You have been unfaithful to Me and have broken My covenant…. But in honor of your father, David, who was always faithful to me, I will not remove the kingdom from you.” *1 Kings 11:11–12, VOICE* Twenty-three years after David died, his son King Solomon had married foreign wives and started worshipping their idols. He knew better, but he let his heart turn away from the Lord. The decisions we make every day don’t just affect our lives, they affect generations to come. When you make decisions that honor God, when you’re generous and faithful, it is being credited to your children’s account, to your grandchildren, to future generations. Just as there is a generational curse of negatives that can be passed down, there is a generational blessing. Be more careful, don't take careless steps. Say Father, guide my steps and channel them alright in Jesus name. "Keeping of covenant leads to showering of God's Mercy." 👏Good Morning. TGIF...

The path of the righteous is like the morning sun, shining ever brighter till the full light of day. Proverbs 4:18, (NIV) When we stay on the right path as a believer, we may not like the process of God in bringing about a brighter future and it may not make sense to us, but that disappointment, the breakup, or the slow season won’t stop what God has for you. It’s getting you in position for favor that you’ve never seen. You’re going to come out, not like you were before, but healthier, stronger, promoted, and increased. Say Father, let your full light of success shine on my path today in Jesus name . “Before we see more than enough, we go through a season of not enough." 👏Good Morning🤝 © MOST OTIS

January 2023 Anointing Service

Image
Excerpts from Yesterday's Anointing service Yesterday the 15th January, 2023, the church of God had her 1st anointing service of 2023 and it was a blessing. In his sermon tagged Living in Covenant favour the General Overseer revealed the mind of God to the congregation. Excerpts below . "Covenant is a result of sacrifice on your part while favor is a result of the effort on your part. Abraham is a typical exam of someone who enjoys God's divine covenant but it was as a result of his work, effort and unbelievable sacrifice(Gen 22). Mary was another example, God recognized her humble nature, He recognized Naoh's righteousness. So favor is not an automatic thing it requires your effort and sacrifice. For you to stand out in 2023 and enjoy God's covenant favor the following 4 things are very important in the journey. ***  Anything he tells you to do, do it with faith John2:5 ***  Do not let your problem draw you back from God, the folly ...
