COVID-19 LOCKDOWN; The LESSONS AND WAY FORWARD (Series 2)

The Most Rev OTIS continued his teaching on the COVID-19 Lockdown series and here are continuation of his posits! 

4. UNPREPARED FUTURE PLAN:
We are all here today in the future some people created years back. Our children will also find themselves in the future we create now. Last week, I said the future is something we create, not what we enter into.
The future is not a miracle or mystery. It is a harvest of the choices we make today. Therefore, to have a harvest of a brighter and better future, all you need to do is to make the right choices today. I have seen a generation that want everything to be miracle, miracle, miracle without carefully planning ahead and sowing today what will be harvested tomorrow. We put on hand bands with church logos, face caps, tee shirts, handkerchief et.c not because of identification with church but because of miracle.

Today we talk about Dubai, Japan, South Africa and so on. They are not where they are today because of increase in or lots of religious centres but because they planned ahead and worked it out.
Our government is not concerned about the creation of a brighter future but about embezzling money meant to create the future. Our churches are not interested in our future but in the money they want to make through programs. We are here today because of unremoved stones which we chose to neglect.

John 11:39 "Jesus said take ye away the stone. Martha,....said into him, Lord, by this time he stinketh...."
 Education will continue to stink no matter our prayers and mountain visits unless we choose to take away the stone first. The more we pray today, the more increase in church establishment, the more the increase of wonders. Yet, education, health section, employment, finance sector, banking sector, oil sectors e.t.c are stinking day by day because no one wants to roll the stone away. We voted them in to help us roll away the stones so that the stinkiness can come to an end, but they end up adding more to the stench. Some even pour perfumes to deceive the masses that they have removed the stone and taken care of the problem. After leaving office, their wickedness are exposed as the stink becomes worse. 
The stink has now affected our home, church and Nation at large. Our youths, which are our tomorrow are now stinking with Yahoo jobs, Yahoo+ job, aristo job, thurggery et.c 
Who will now roll away this stone? The church? Which we now commercialize? Leaders with empty heads? Youths who have fixed their eyes on money and exchange it with their future?
Prayer will not do what we are supposed to do. The future is by creation, not miracle. God created the world, it is not a mystery.
No matter how bad a situation may be, the best can still come out of it if you plan and work it out with prayers. The situation of the earth was bad before God started creation, and something good come out of it.

5 THE CLEARITY OF DECEPTIVE GOVERNMENT AND BAD LEADERS.

I watched a movie, and in the movie a politician was asked, show me the evidence that you are a true citizen of this nation. The man dip his hand into his pocket and brought out his wallet and brought out his voters ID, security card, national ID, et.c. The man that asked the question replied, sir, this is the problem of this Nation, it is in your pocket not in your heart. This nation will only be better when you remove it from your pocket and placed it in your heart. (Mark 12:30)
The question is why are you following someone? The answer should be to have a secured future, a better life. If I follow you as a leader and my life is not in any way better, then you are a bad leader. If my life is worse after I follow you, then you are a dead leader
Most leaders are not only bad, but they are dead. This Nation is in their pocket, not their heart. No wonder all the trips are for medical check up and not for National development.

No sincere integrity, no fear of God, no respect for humanity. They lie as if it is the ticket for a better Nigeria. Lies have become the order of the day. When you listen to news on social media, radio, read newspaper, all you hear are lies. Political manifestoes (lies), sermons and preachings,  (lies),  boss (lie),  children (lies), spouse (lies), even the Holy Spirit has been turned to master of lies.  It is here you hear; "Thus says the Lord" and the next statement will be lies. The Holy Spirit has become a tool of deceit. May the Lord forgive us.

COVID-19 has become a political game. It is politicized already. A good Look at Kogi state where solation centres are empty, yet the number keep increasing every day. Even the palliative distributions are all lies.
The minister of humanitarian affairs said "there is hardly anyone in Nigeria who did not receive federal government palliative during the COVID-19 lockdown. I went round the 36 state myself to distribute them." Maybe it was a lie because what she said was not true or maybe it was a false news against her. Yet, it still remain a lie.
Today they came up with washing of hands and covering of nose. Wash your hand as long as you want, if you don't wash your heart, you'll go to hell. If your spirit is dirty but your hand are clean,you will go to hell with sanitizer in hand and face mask on your face. I believe that is the new dress code of hell. 
Cover your face against sin, sanitize your heart against iniquities. Why are you so afraid of washing hands because of COVID-19 but not concerned about washing your heart and spirit so as not to end up in hell fire.
The thermometer is a serious message for us. If our spiritual life is to be checked as we check our temperatures what will be your score.
I think someone needs to tell our leaders this "blessed is the Nation whose God is the Lord," Psalm 33:12.
O deliver us from the deceitful and unjust man that has made our Nation ungodly. (Psalm 43:1)
Tell them "righteousness exalt a nation." (Prov 14:34.)
 Tell the political leaders, the religious leaders, the professors, the experts, the skilled, brilliants and men of wisdom that what exalt a Nation is not only our expertise or brilliance, wealth of our land, but the usage of all righteously.

Tell them, if God is not our Lord in Nigeria, if this country remains ungodly due to deceitfulness and unjust deeds, if this Nation choose wickedness above righteousness, "Shall I not punish them for this declares the lord. shall not my soul be avenged on such a Nation as this? (Jer 5:9).
